About this plugin
Randomachine is a randomization engine designed to combat the sterility of repeated samples and synthesized hits. Rather than applying static processing, the plugin modulates six effect parameters at user-defined intervals, creating subtle to dramatic variations across multiple instances of identical source material. This approach addresses a genuine production challenge: maintaining sonic coherence while avoiding the mechanical quality that results from copy-pasted audio.
The core processing chain includes pitch and formant shifting, ambience addition, saturation, stereo panorama modulation, and time offset - each parameter randomized within user-set boundaries on every trigger. The breadth of these tools means the plugin can serve multiple applications, from adding naturalistic variation to drum samples and percussion loops to creating textural evolvement in sustained sounds and atmospheric elements.

Three triggering modes provide appropriate flexibility for different workflows. Transient mode responds to incoming audio peaks, making it suitable for percussive material where timing is already established. Sync mode locks randomization to project tempo at intervals ranging from single beats to sixteenth notes, ideal for grid-based electronic music production. MIDI triggering offers manual control, allowing selective randomization placement within a arrangement.
The plugin occupies practical ground between the simplicity of standard parameter automation and the complexity of full generative tools. It's most valuable for sound designers, game audio professionals, and electronic music producers working with repeated elements - the contexts where genuine variation matters most. The license-based activation system avoids additional friction in the workflow, though the core value proposition ultimately depends on whether your productions benefit from this specific type of controlled randomization.
