About this plugin
VOID is a drum kit and beat sequencer designed specifically for Drum and Bass production, operating within UJAM's Beatmaker 3 plugin ecosystem. The tool provides access to 10 customized drum kits with 16 instruments each, paired with 20 stylistic variations spanning Liquid, Neurofunk, Jungle, and Breakbeat subgenres. The core functionality delivers pre-programmed MIDI loops (460 total) that can be triggered in real time or edited within your DAW.
The plugin's technical architecture centers on beat construction rather than sound design. Users select a kit, choose a style, and trigger ready-made grooves with minimal intervention. The accompanying mixing page allows post-selection processing: individual track control over volume, panning, filtering, ambience, saturation, and output routing. A secondary "Vortex" multi-effects section adds modulation and texture, though its exact parameters require hands-on exploration.

VOID serves producers seeking rapid DnB arrangement without sample hunting or drum programming. The pre-designed kits emphasize contemporary production standards with punchy compression and balanced frequency response. The intelligent browser with tempo and mood filtering accelerates kit selection.
For experienced engineers, VOID functions best as an inspiration tool or rapid prototyping device rather than a deep sound design instrument. Its constraint - working within predefined grooves and kits - limits customization but accelerates workflow. The plugin integrates seamlessly with Beatmaker 3's unified interface, allowing cross-plugin kit swapping. DnB-focused producers with time constraints will find immediate utility; those prioritizing sonic individuality may find the preset-dependent approach limiting.
