About this plugin
UFX Filter is a multi-stage filtering system that approaches equalization and tone-shaping through a synthesis-first lens. Rather than treating filters as surgical tools, UJAM positions this plugin as a creative sound design instrument, combining three filter modules with modulation and effects processing into a single interface.
The technical foundation rests on 20 distinct filter topologies, each available in multiple slopes (12, 24, and 36 dB per octave). Beyond standard lowpass and highpass responses, the plugin includes comb filters in both positive and negative configurations, multi-peak variants that layer detuned filters for width, and formant-based "talking" filters that introduce vocal-like timbral character. This breadth makes UFX Filter useful across genres, though it shines when sound design flexibility matters more than surgical precision.

The envelope follower module deserves particular attention. By tracking input amplitude, it creates dynamic filter movement without sidechain routing, making it practical for drums and transient-heavy material. The built-in modulation section adds LFO and rhythm-sync capabilities, while 40 additional filter effects and 50 finisher processes handle compression, distortion, and texture work internally.
The 150+ preset library reflects thoughtful sound design, and the randomization engine encourages experimentation. For producers working across multiple genres who value exploratory workflow over transparent processing, UFX Filter justifies its place in the toolkit. It occupies the middle ground between purist surgical EQ and full synthesizer, making it particularly suited to electronic producers, remix engineers, and anyone treating audio texture as a compositional element rather than mere correction.
