About this plugin
Virtual Guitarist SPARKLE 2 addresses a specific production need that remains difficult to solve convincingly with conventional sampling or synthesis: electric rhythm guitar that sits naturally in a mix without requiring extensive editing or layering. This crossgrade from any existing UJAM paid product offers access to a instrument built around 350 phrase variations spanning more than 30 musical styles, from funk and disco through indie rock and contemporary pop production.
The plugin's core strength lies in its sampling approach. UJAM recorded a vintage single-coil equipped guitar through hand-selected tube amp and speaker cabinet combinations, then segmented the results into musically coherent phrases rather than granular loops. This yields more natural inflection and timing than conventional one-shot or short-loop libraries. The 30 stomp box emulations function as pre-amp processors, allowing tonal shaping before the amp stage, which proves essential for achieving consistency across mix contexts.

SPARKLE 2 suits producers and songwriters seeking efficient rhythm guitar layering without deep technical knowledge of guitar tone. Completing chord progressions and octave figures takes minutes rather than hours. The Open Chords feature provides legitimate harmonic flexibility beyond preset phrase selection. The 60 Finisher FX modes offer additional processing refinement, though these lean toward masking deficiencies rather than enhancing strengths.
Among comparable virtual instruments, SPARKLE 2 occupies the practical middle ground between full guitar amp simulation and pure sample playback. It handles straightforward arranging tasks reliably, though it cannot replicate genuine finger articulation or perform convincingly as a lead voice. For producers building modern pop, indie, and electronic productions, this represents a capable session tool worth integrating into existing workflows.
