SILK 2 is Ujam's second-generation virtual acoustic nylon guitar instrument, designed to integrate authentic fingerpicked and strummed textures into digital productions without requiring dedicated guitar tracking. The plugin generates realistic nylon-string performances from MIDI input, utilizing a newly recorded instrument library captured across multiple microphone positions to provide genuine tonal variation rather than algorithmic synthesis.

The core engine centers on a smart chord processor that translates basic harmonic input into contextually appropriate voicings and articulations. Users can trigger chord inversions, octave variations, and phrase variations through intuitive MIDI programming, making it accessible for non-guitarists while offering sufficient control for detailed arrangement work. The addition of Instrument mode allows direct note-by-note performance with individual articulation selection, bridging the gap between convenience and tactile control.
