About this plugin
UJAM's DRUMS plugin provides access to Hans Zimmer's curated percussion library, recorded at Remote Control Studios and engineered by Boris Salchow. The plugin delivers 53 playing styles with 23 ready-made phrases per style, totaling 1,219 usable sequences, plus 265 one-shot hits and metal sounds. The instrument set spans orchestral bass drums, toms, taikos, doumbeks, surdos, field drums, and snares, representing the kind of specialized percussion typically sourced across multiple sessions and recording facilities.
The core technical approach centers on UJAM's performance engine, which handles tempo synchronization and sequence triggering within your DAW environment. Rather than requiring manual programming or time-intensive arrangement of complex percussion patterns, users select from pre-built styles and phrases that respond to dynamic performance controls. This architecture prioritizes workflow efficiency over granular sample manipulation, making it most suitable for producers working in film scoring, trailer composition, and high-tempo orchestral contexts where rhythmic consistency matters.

The sonic character reflects Zimmer's aesthetic: cinematic weight with pronounced transients and spatial depth from studio recording techniques. The library emphasizes world percussion and unconventional drum voices that differentiate it from generic drum sample packs. For composers seeking authentic orchestral percussion textures without sourcing multiple specialized libraries or session musicians, this crossgrade option provides legitimate value.
This loyalty upgrade discount applies to existing UJAM customers and excludes Usynth DRIVE and Finisher MICRO products. It represents a practical addition to film scoring and orchestral production workflows where authentic percussion sourcing has traditionally required substantial resources.
