About this plugin
Universal Audio's Select 6 Plus Bundle represents a pragmatic entry point into the company's plugin ecosystem, bundling six essential processors with the UAD-2 hardware interface requirement. The collection typically includes emulations of classic gear - drawing from UA's respected recreations of SSL consoles, Neve preamps, and vintage compression - alongside utility tools for tracking and mixing.
The sonic character leans toward transparent accuracy rather than coloration. UA's modeling approach captures both the frequency response and harmonic behavior of hardware units, making these tools behave authentically within a mix. The bundle's real strength lies in its CPU efficiency when used with UAD hardware acceleration, allowing substantial processing without taxing your system.

This package suits home and project studio operators seeking dependable mixing tools without the investment required for full plugin suites. Working professionals occasionally use Select processors as secondary instances or on satellite systems. While not comprehensive enough for dedicated mastering work, the included EQ and compression options handle standard mixing tasks competently. The hardware requirement represents either a practical consideration or a drawback, depending on your existing setup and workflow preferences.
