About this plugin
Filterscape stands as u-he's flagship morphing EQ plugin, now substantially refined with modern analog modeling and expanded sonic capabilities. At its core lies a multiband parametric EQ capable of seamlessly morphing across eight distinct snapshots, with individual bands modulating independently or globally across transitions. This morphing architecture proves particularly valuable for dynamic sound design, allowing surgical tonal shifts that respond to performance rather than remaining static across a mix.
The redesigned filter section introduces three novel analog-modeled topologies alongside legacy options, providing two parallel state-variable filters with lowpass, bandpass, highpass, and notch modes. Both filter stages demonstrate smooth drive and resonance characteristics essential for creative modulation without digital artifacts. The multiband EQ operates in multiple configurations from surgical LS-Peak-Peak-HS arrangements to more experimental multi-bandpass modes, offering up to 24 dB of cut and boost per band.

Filterscape excels for producers and engineers requiring dynamic tonal shaping within arrangement sections or real-time performance contexts. The snapshot morphing responds to DAW automation, MIDI modulation, or envelope sources, making it equally suited for mixing applications and sound design work. Unlike static parametric EQs, Filterscape's morphing engine justifies its presence through genuine creative capability rather than mere convenience.
While not positioned as a transparent mastering tool, Filterscape delivers the character expected from u-he's analog modeling approach. Its combination of multiband control, filter flexibility, and modulation depth makes it a considered choice for engineers seeking sophisticated dynamic equalization beyond conventional plugin offerings.
