This dual approach yields genuine flexibility: the Pultec section excels at controlling low-end weight and definition through its selectable 30 Hz, 60 Hz, and 100 Hz points, while supporting the characteristic simultaneous boost and cut that defines the "Pultec Trick." The Maag-inspired mid and high bands provide surgical presence control at 650 Hz and definition shaping at 2.5 kHz, complemented by a sweepable Air Band extending to 40 kHz for the crystalline, detail-enhancing character Maag is known for.

The differentiator here is the integrated 12AX7 tube stage modeling, which adds harmonic complexity and natural saturation rather than operating as a cosmetic afterthought.
