About this plugin
Tracktion's Dawesome MYTH represents a substantive departure from conventional synthesis architecture. Rather than relying on static oscillators modified through traditional filter and envelope chains, MYTH employs re-synthesis to process audio through its IRIS engine, extracting harmonic complexity from sampled sources and making that inherent richness accessible through its TRANSFORMER controls. This approach yields organic, evolving textures that feel less engineered and more discovered.
The plugin's modular signal flow - modules chained left to right without patching - offers genuine power without the cognitive overhead that stops many producers from exploring deeper synthesis possibilities. You can layer subtractive synthesis alongside granular processing, spectral effects like GLURP, or more experimental modules such as ORBIT and ATARI PUNK, all within a unified chain architecture.

MYTH's workflow efficiency distinguishes it practically. The randomization system allows selective parameter freezing, preset breeding from parent combinations, and sample-driven preset exploration - you can audition presets directly over your own samples rather than starting from silence. With 700 presets from established sound designers including Arovane, ModeAudio, and others, the starting point rarely feels generic.
The sonic character ranges from conventional (atmospheric pads, punchy drums) to genuinely unusual (metallicized textures, granular cloud formations, acoustic resonances). This versatility without compromise makes MYTH suitable for electronic music producers seeking both familiar tools and exploratory sound design capabilities, as well as sound designers prioritizing intuitive discovery over parameter depth.
