About this plugin
Total Studio Drums from Ugritone is a professionally sampled drum library engineered at Santa Studio in Warsaw by Mikolaj Kiciak, containing over 1.4 GB of mix-ready acoustic drum sounds. The collection draws from four high-end acoustic kits: a Gretsch Renown, Ludwig USA Custom, Sonor Phonic, and complementary snare drums including Ludwig's Black Beauty and Supraphonic models. This curated selection of classic and modern drums reflects the sonic preferences of contemporary studio work across rock, pop, country, and metal productions.
The library's strength lies in its practical versatility. Rather than overwhelming users with endless variations, it provides 3 kicks, 4 snares, 5 toms, and a comprehensive cymbal selection featuring Paiste 2002 and Zildjian cymbals in configurations that reflect actual studio setups. This restraint in quantity actually increases usability - experienced producers will appreciate the focused palette that encourages decisive choices rather than endless auditioning.

The inclusion of 8 genre-specific presets (ranging from "90's Power" to "Kind of Metal?") demonstrates understanding of how modern producers work. These aren't gimmicks but rather thoughtfully designed starting points that accelerate workflow without dictating final results. The dual cowbell options and comprehensive tom voicings suggest attention to detail in both primary and secondary percussion.
Total Studio Drums occupies practical middle ground between minimalist sample packs and bloated libraries. It's best suited for producers seeking professional acoustic sounds without the technical overhead of deep sound design or extensive editing. The engineering quality and tonal character indicate this is a tool for serious work, not a novelty collection.
