About this plugin
Tokyo Dawn Labs' Special Filters Bundle consolidates four surgical filtering tools designed for the technical realities of modern production. Each plugin addresses a specific frequency domain problem with uncommon precision, making this collection essential for engineers working across sample rates, stereo imagery, and spectral balance.
Infrasonic controls subsonic content through continuously variable slope filtering with both minimum and mixed phase options, while its dynamic bump and harmonic exciters restore perceived energy lost during aggressive filtering. Elliptical tackles low frequency stereo information with an advanced elliptical design that maintains musicality through perceptual filtering and mono-summing compensation. Ultrasonic handles the often-overlooked problem of inaudible content accumulation in nonlinear processing chains, particularly at high sample rates, using a linear phase architecture with dynamic gating to reduce distortion artifacts before they become audible.

Arbiter stands apart as a level-independent spectral balancer, making it the logical choice for de-essing, plosive control, and frequency balance correction without dynamic side effects. This relative processing approach distinguishes it from traditional dynamic EQs.
The bundle's technical sophistication reflects Tokyo Dawn Labs' engineering philosophy: transparent, musically transparent intervention without coloration. The combination of phase mode options, continuously variable slopes, and mix controls across all four plugins offers flexibility for both surgical corrections and intentional sound design.
This collection serves mastering engineers, post-production specialists, and mix engineers requiring precise frequency domain control without compromise. Among specialized filter suites, TDR Special Filters Bundle represents the current reference standard for technical capability and sonic integrity.
