About this plugin
Symphonic Orchestra and Hollywood Choirs Bundle represents a comprehensive toolkit for orchestral and choral composition, combining two of EastWest's most established virtual instrument collections. Symphonic Orchestra delivers convincing orchestral textures through multi-microphone recording methodology, capturing close, stage, and surround perspectives from a professional concert hall. This approach grants users significant control over spatial character without heavy reliance on auxiliary reverb processing. The interface consolidates essential parameters - microphone mixing, section dynamics, filtering, and reverb - into a single workspace, streamlining workflow considerably.
The collection incorporates intelligent performance features including portamento, round robin reset, and automated release trail compensation that responds dynamically to note velocity. These systems facilitate more natural phrasing with minimal editing overhead. All instrumentation was recorded by Grammy-nominated engineer Keith O. Johnson under direction of acclaimed sound designers Doug Rogers and Nick Phoenix, establishing technical credibility that extends across multiple industry awards.

Hollywood Choirs complements the orchestral foundation with a full choir capable of dramatic dynamic control and detailed articulation manipulation. The bundle suits composers working across orchestral scoring, film music, and hybrid production contexts where both instrumental and vocal elements require authentic expression. While modern alternatives now exist in this market segment, Symphonic Orchestra's multi-microphone architecture and stage perspective methodology remain competitive approaches to orchestral synthesis. The bundle serves experienced producers seeking established, refinable tools rather than cutting-edge innovation. Primary limitations stem from sample-based architecture inherent to all orchestral libraries, though the spatial recording methodology substantially mitigates typical sample library artifacts.
