At its core are two oscillators with ten synthesis modes each, spanning traditional VA synthesis with anti-aliasing, wavetable, waveguide, and FM approaches alongside more unconventional fractal-based generation. The inclusion of a sample-capable oscillator mode - borrowed from Sugar Bytes' Cyclops plugin and here made polyphonic - opens substantial creative territory for sound designers working with external material or field recordings.

The synthesis architecture prioritizes practical workflow. Rather than overwhelming users with unlimited routing, the fixed modulation matrix connects eight sources to ten targets with bipolar modulation amounts, creating sufficient flexibility for complex modulations while maintaining clarity. Four independent sequencers drive rhythmic animation and pattern-based variations, capable of triggering envelopes, LFOs, or the arpeggiator with precise control over timing and interaction.

Factory's arpeggiator deserves particular attention.
