About this plugin
StereoSavage 2 Upgrade elevates the Elements version with a comprehensive stereo processing toolkit designed for mixing professionals seeking both surgical control and creative enhancement. The plugin addresses a fundamental mixing challenge: transforming flat mono sources into cohesive stereo images while maintaining low-frequency integrity.
The core toolkit operates through five distinct stereo generation methods. Detune creates width through micro-pitch shifting, delivering the classic thick vocal character without artifacts. Delay-based widening works particularly well on rhythmic elements, offering independent left-right timing relationships. The Reflect algorithm uses phase manipulation to widen sources naturally, while Split provides surgical stereo separation for layered instruments. These aren't novelty features but practical techniques drawn directly from professional studio workflows.

The positioning controls - Width, Pan, and Rotation - provide granular stereo field manipulation. Rotation stands out as exceptionally transparent, producing movement that sounds organic rather than mechanical. The integrated LFO enables modulation effects without requiring external automation, useful for creating subtle motion or dramatic chorus-like effects. The Bass Bypass feature addresses a perennial mixing problem: preventing low-end mud by excluding subharmonic content from stereo processing.
This upgrade suits mixing engineers working with limited vocal takes, mono sample libraries, or synth sources requiring enhanced dimensionality. It's equally valuable for those mixing in small rooms where stereo enhancement aids translation. The plugin distinguishes itself through cohesive design - combining multiple stereo techniques in a single interface rather than forcing engineers to instantiate several tools. In a competitive market crowded with stereo wideners, StereoSavage 2 offers practical versatility backed by sound technical principles.
