SSL Reverb Collection

About this plugin

Solid State Logic's Reverb Collection bundles four distinct reverb engines that address different mixing scenarios, from surgical spatial processing to stylized effects. FlexVerb serves as the collection's flagship, offering four algorithmic types (room, hall, plate, chamber) with independently controllable early and late reflections. The split-interface design proves practical for dialing in natural room character without sacrificing decay definition. A built-in six-band EQ and output compressor facilitate quick integration into dense mixes, while the infinite reverb and tail kill switches enable both ambient textures and dramatic rhythmic stutters. This balance of flexibility and workflow efficiency positions FlexVerb as a credible alternative to premium algorithmic reverbs.

GateVerb resurrects the non-linear gated reverb aesthetic popularized by 1980s drum production, combining gate and trigger controls with sidechain ducking. Its density, time, color, and size parameters operate intuitively, making it equally suited to contemporary trap and house productions as period-accurate synth work. PlateVerb and SpringVerb round out the collection, delivering emulations of classic hardware with SSL's characteristic clarity and control. PlateVerb spans 100 milliseconds to three seconds of decay, accommodating both tight vocal treatments and expansive orchestral work.
