About this plugin
Jewel Empire II brings the distinctive character of the GEM Imperial II, a two-manual electronic organ from Italy's late 80s and early 90s manufacturing era, into the digital domain. Soundiron's sampling approach captures both sustain and staccato articulations across the instrument's normal and bass voice sections, recorded in wide stereo and direct line formats to preserve the organ's inherent tonal complexity and harmonic richness.
The plugin distinguishes itself through thoughtful sound design flexibility. Beyond basic organ voice selection, you'll find practical controls for Attack, Release, and Transient Offset that reshape the instrument's envelope characteristics. A dedicated Glide parameter enables legato portamento leads, while comprehensive vibrato controls add expression typical of vintage organ playing. The octave layering system allows stacking and offsetting voices for thicker, more complex textures.

The modulation architecture proves sophisticated without overwhelming. An LFO with selectable waveforms, tempo-syncing, and multiple modulation targets gives you dynamic movement, while a 13-filter selection spanning lowpass, high-pass, and effects types accommodates both subtle coloration and dramatic filtering. Expression mapping to velocity, mod wheel, aftertouch, key position, and an editable step-sequencer table provides nuanced control over parameter evolution.
A customizable arpeggiator with integrated velocity sequencing rounds out the feature set, useful for generating rhythmic textures and melodic patterns. Twenty evolving atmospheric pads expand the sonic palette beyond traditional organ sounds, appealing to electronic music producers and soundtrack composers seeking vintage warmth with contemporary flexibility. Jewel Empire II serves best those seeking authentic vintage organ character paired with modern sound-shaping capabilities rather than traditional organ playability simulation.
