Rather than simply recreating the source material, Just Add Drums has focused on the mixing techniques that defined the record's impact, particularly the signature reverb treatments applied by mixer Andy Wallace. The library includes emulations of the Lexicon 480L and PCM90 reverbs on dedicated faders, with white noise layered into the snare reverb exactly as Wallace implemented in his original mixes.

The kit itself consists of a Yamaha Recording Custom birch drum set paired with Zildjian A Custom cymbals and a Tama Bell Brass snare, sampled with six to seven velocity layers and eight round robins across 2,216 samples.
