About this plugin
Softube's collaboration with Weiss Engineering has produced a mastering toolkit that captures the sonic signature of hardware units that have shaped professional recordings for decades. This upgrade bundle builds on the EQ MP foundation with seven additional processors spanning the essential mastering chain: the DS1-MK3 and DS5 dynamics processors, MM-1 maximizer, Exciter, Deess, EQ1, and the Gambit Series channel strip for Console 1.
The collection's strength lies in its coherent sonic philosophy. Rather than generic digital emulations, these plugins reflect Weiss Engineering's decades-long pursuit of transparent, musical signal processing. The compression algorithms prioritize musicality over clinical precision, while the EQ maintains clarity across aggressive and subtle adjustments alike. The de-esser addresses sibilance without the artifacts that plague lesser designs, and the Exciter adds dimensionality through harmonic enhancement rather than simple high-frequency boost.

This toolkit suits mastering engineers and serious mix engineers seeking reliable, sonically validated processors without auditioning countless alternatives. The sound is characteristically European in its restraint and refinement. You won't find trendy coloration here; instead, you get processors that disappear into the mix when needed and reveal detail when pushed.
For those already invested in Weiss through the EQ MP, this upgrade provides the missing pieces of a complete mastering chain at genuine value. The integration with Softube's Console 1 ecosystem adds workflow efficiency for studios built around that ecosystem. It's a pragmatic choice for professionals who've heard Weiss gear on the records they admire and want access to that sensibility in the DAW.
