About this plugin
The Weiss Complete Collection 3 represents a strategic consolidation of Softube's modeling work with Weiss Engineering, Switzerland's most respected mastering toolset manufacturer. This bundle delivers eight essential processors - Exciter, DS1-MK3, DS5, MM-1, Compressor/Limiter, Deess, EQ1, and the Gambit channel strip for Console 1 - at a significantly reduced cost versus individual purchase.
The sonic signature across these tools reflects Weiss Engineering's four-decade philosophy: transparent, surgical processing that preserves mix integrity while achieving loudness and cohesion. The DS1-MK3 multi-band compressor handles frequency-specific dynamics with precision that justifies its ubiquity on mastering chains. The MM-1 maximizer provides the kind of transparent loudness that competitive streaming demands without obvious pumping. The EQ1's gentle, musical character sits well on two-bus work, while the Deess attacks sibilance problems without artifacts.

This collection is purpose-built for mastering engineers and serious mix engineers seeking professional-grade tools without the workflow friction of mixing multiple vendors' interfaces. The included Gambit strip integration with Softube's Console 1 hardware controller adds tactile appeal for studio facilities already committed to that ecosystem.
Relative to competitors like FabFilter Pro-MB or iZotope RX, Weiss tools prioritize analog-style musicality over feature density. They excel when the goal is transparent control rather than creative transformation. For engineers already familiar with Weiss hardware or seeking that specific sonic character, this collection delivers legitimate mastering-grade capability at consumer pricing.
