Shake and Bake addresses a genuine technical problem: when stacking multiple shaker performances, even millisecond-level timing discrepancies between attack peaks create comb filtering artifacts that muddy the pocket. The plugin's core function is automatic peak detection and phase alignment across up to four simultaneous shaker tracks, which it executes reliably and transparently.

The library consists of 117 loops performed by Jeroen de Rijk, a session percussionist whose resume spans Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars. The alignment engine offers three modes - Smart, Grid, and Feel - each adjusting how aggressively the plugin locks peaks to temporal references. Exporting renders the final stack directly to WAV, streamlining workflow compared to bouncing individual tracks.
