About this plugin
RX Post Production Suite 9 represents a meaningful evolution in iZotope's flagship post-production toolkit, designed specifically for engineers upgrading from versions 1 through 8.6. This comprehensive suite consolidates essential tools for dialogue cleanup, audio restoration, mixing, and mastering into a single integrated workflow.
At its core remains RX 12 Advanced, the industry standard for production audio repair. The suite augments this with Equinox, a premium reverb engine that combines Exponential Audio's algorithms with adaptive unmasking technology, enabling spatial design without sacrificing clarity. Neutron 5 provides full mixing capabilities with real-time spectral analysis, while Nectar 4 Advanced handles vocal-specific processing alongside Melodyne 5 Essential for precise pitch correction.

The inclusion of Insight 2 brings multichannel metering with Dolby Atmos support, essential for contemporary theatrical and streaming deliverables. Tonal Balance Control 3 ensures mixes translate reliably across playback systems, and Relay facilitates inter-plugin communication for streamlined mixing workflows.
This suite is indispensable for post-production professionals managing dialogue-heavy projects, sound designers working with complex spatial audio, and mixing engineers who require restoration and creative tools within a single environment. Its strength lies in combining industry-standard repair capabilities with modern mixing intelligence, reducing context switching during critical phases of post-production.
For existing users upgrading from earlier versions, the update cost positions it as a logical incremental investment rather than a complete repurchase. The integration remains cohesive, though individual components can function independently when required.
