About this plugin
Recirculate stands as a sophisticated feedback delay that distinguishes itself through independent timing controls for initial delays and repeats. This dual-time architecture enables rhythmic complexity that standard delay plugins struggle to achieve, allowing producers to craft polyrhythmic textures without resorting to multiple instances or external sequencing.
The plugin's delay modes demonstrate genuine versatility. Beyond conventional feedback echo, Pitch Warp introduces melodic movement, Granular mode enables textural degradation, and Ping Pong delivers spatial dimension. Each mode integrates seamlessly with the core feedback engine rather than feeling like afterthought effects, a distinction that reveals careful sonic design.

Recirculate's character section deserves particular mention. Rather than generic saturation, the curated selection of 28 character and noise combinations provides distinct sonic personalities that transform repeats from transparent repetition into textured, evolving elements. The inclusion of a reverb engine within the delay path allows for diffused tails that blend naturally into mixes rather than sitting as discrete repeats.
Dynamic controls prove essential for managing feedback intensity. The integrated compressor, ducker, and gate enable precise sculpting of echo behavior, while the transient designer preserves or removes attack information as needed. This granular control prevents the feedback from accumulating into murky wash.
The filtering stage with morphable shapes and the dry FX integration that bleeds character into the unaffected signal demonstrate workflow consideration for mixing contexts. Recirculate suits producers seeking rhythmic depth beyond conventional delay, particularly those comfortable with parameter exploration. It occupies the intersection between utilitarian effect and sound design instrument, demanding engagement but rewarding it substantially.
