DELTA reimagines saturation processing by decoupling the distortion source from the audible output. Rather than applying a sidechain control to modulate an effect's parameters, DELTA uses a secondary input to modulate the saturation characteristics of your primary signal, leaving the sidechain itself unheard. This approach enables genuine mix fusion where one track can colorize another without masking or level interaction.

The plugin provides ten distortion models spanning from credible emulations of classic tape and transistor saturation to more experimental algorithms designed for harmonic intermodulation. This breadth makes it viable for both transparent glue and intentional sound design. The ENV control allows you to shape dynamics based on the sidechain's envelope, offering downward ducking on one side of the knob and upward gating characteristics on the other, adding dynamic nuance beyond static saturation.
