About this plugin
Cloud Supply represents Native Instruments' focused approach to melodic synthesis for contemporary hip-hop production. Developed in collaboration with Grammy-winning producer Snipe Young, the plugin targets the specific sonic requirements of trap, drill, and grime music - genres where atmospheric texture and hook-ready melodic content define commercial viability.
The core strength lies in its preset architecture. The 150 included patches cover essential melodic territories: wavy pads with organic movement, crystalline plucked textures, layered bell tones, and sequenced arpeggios that sit naturally in dense mixes. Each preset reflects professional studio processing, with analog gear emulation and high-end mastering chain integration already baked in. This means usable sounds arrive ready for production without extensive customization.

For sound design work, Cloud Supply provides legitimate depth. Macro controls map to essential parameters, sequenced modulation enables evolving textures, and effects chains allow further character shaping. The pitch-shifted resampling engine generates hidden harmonic layers that add sophistication to otherwise straightforward melodic elements. This technical approach distinguishes it from basic rompler-style plugins.
The interface prioritizes workflow efficiency - necessary for producers operating under deadline pressure. Real-time parameter adjustment remains intuitive, avoiding the menu diving that hampers some competitors. Cloud Supply functions equally well as a preset player for quick sessions or as a sound design workstation for artists seeking signature tones.
While not a comprehensive synthesis platform, Cloud Supply executes its specialized mission effectively. It occupies logical territory between general-purpose synths and severely limited preset libraries, making it particularly valuable for producers whose workflow centers on melodic hook creation rather than synthesis fundamentals.
