About this plugin
iZotope's Music Production Suite 9 represents a significant evolution for producers working within the Mix & Master Bundle ecosystem, consolidating over 100 plugins into a unified production environment. The upgrade centers on three substantive additions: RX 12 Standard, which brings surgical audio restoration capabilities; Tonal Balance Control 3, now equipped with expanded metering for vocal dynamics and stereo imaging; and Ozone 12 Advanced, featuring Bass Control, Unlimiter, and Stem EQ modules designed to address contemporary mixing challenges.
The technical approach emphasizes intelligent assistance without sacrificing user control. Ozone 12's Master Assistant generates customized processing chains while remaining fully adjustable, reflecting iZotope's philosophy that automation should augment rather than replace critical listening. RX 12 Standard's 50+ restoration tools handle everything from dialogue intonation to spectral repair, making this suite particularly valuable for music producers handling vocal recordings or salvaging compromised sources.

The Plasma saturation engine deserves mention for its adaptive approach to harmonic processing, intelligently targeting frequency ranges and dynamics rather than applying blanket coloration. Combined with the newly refined Catalyst Series and Native Instruments' Guitar Rig 7 Pro integration, this suite serves experienced producers seeking comprehensive, modular mixing and mastering tools in a single package.
This upgrade proves most compelling for existing Mix & Master Bundle owners who have outgrown basic mixing capabilities and require professional-grade restoration and detailed tonal analysis. It occupies a premium position among all-in-one suites, justified by its depth in both corrective and creative processing.
