About this plugin
MSoundFactory's first dedicated percussion library captures orchestral mallet instruments with the precision and detail that serious composers and film scoring professionals demand. Recorded across multiple sessions with the Budapest Symphonic Orchestra using four discrete microphone arrays, this nearly 3GB collection delivers the spatial authenticity of a concert hall recording without sacrificing the control modern production requires.
The seven instruments - Celesta, Crotales, Glockenspiel, Marimba, Tubular Bells, Vibraphone, and Xylophone - represent the essential melodic percussion toolkit for cinematic scoring and orchestral composition. Each instrument received meticulous attention during sampling, with every note captured at multiple dynamic layers and articulations. The plugin's straightforward parameter set focuses on practical shaping: adjustable mallet hardness controls the attack transient, resonance controls determine sustain character, and a Focus control effectively tightens the transient definition for clarity in dense arrangements.

Where this library distinguishes itself is in its balance between fidelity and usability. Rather than overwhelming users with granular control, MeldaProduction prioritized intuitive parameters that genuinely affect the sound. The four microphone perspectives allow blending between close detail and room ambience, though the default routing already reflects professional mixing choices that work across most contexts.
This tool sits naturally in the toolkit of anyone scoring for film, television, or concert works, and its transparent, well-behaved character makes it equally suitable for augmenting pop and electronic productions with authentic orchestral texture. The recording quality justifies the file size, and the performance controls provide enough flexibility for creative reinterpretation without straying into gimmickry.
