About this plugin
The Patched Grand expansion brings a meticulously sampled acoustic grand piano into the MPC ecosystem, capturing the resonant character of a professional concert instrument across its full range. The library emphasizes authentic mechanical behavior, including sympathetic resonance and naturally decaying sustain that responds appropriately to velocity and pedal simulation.
This expansion suits producers working in jazz, classical crossover, neo-soul, and film composition who need a piano sound with genuine harmonic complexity rather than synthetic approximation. The samples integrate seamlessly with MPC's native sound design tools, allowing users to layer, process, and manipulate the piano within the platform's workflow.

Compared to standalone piano VSTs, Patched Grand functions as a foundational sound source optimized for beat-making and sampling contexts. It excels when combined with MPC's sequencer and effects chain rather than as a standalone performance instrument. The expansion represents a practical choice for producers committed to the MPC environment, offering professional sound quality without requiring external software. The piano samples maintain clarity through dense arrangements while remaining controllable within the platform's constraints.
