About this plugin
The MF-104S Analog Delay brings the circuit topology and sonic character of Moog's seminal hardware pedal into a modern plugin environment. At its core sits a faithful emulation of the original dual-range bucket brigade device architecture, delivering the characteristic warmth and subtle harmonic saturation that defined analog delay circuits of that era. The delay range spans 40 to 800 milliseconds, covering everything from tight slapback to extended ambient textures.
What distinguishes the MF-104S from purely digital delay algorithms is its organic degradation characteristics. The BBD emulation exhibits the gentle compression and subtle frequency drift inherent to analog delay lines, qualities that many producers specifically seek out for the musicality they impart. The included multi-waveform LFO enables time modulation effects ranging from subtle tape wow to pronounced pitch-shifting flanging, with tempo synchronization for rhythmically locked effects.

The plugin architecture adds practical studio necessities absent from the original pedal: stereo processing, CV control over key parameters, preset management, and the ability to cascade multiple instances. This makes the MF-104S practical for mixing work rather than just performance processing.
The MF-104S appeals most to producers and engineers who value analog character and sonic authenticity. Those seeking mathematically precise digital delays or minimal latency should look elsewhere. For tracking guitars, synthesizers, or vocals where you want delay as a musical effect rather than a technical tool, or for mixing contexts where analog-style warmth enhances the overall tone, the MF-104S justifies its position in a discerning toolkit. It's genuinely one of the few plugin delays that sounds distinctly like hardware rather than a convincing approximation.
