About this plugin
Memory Rites represents EPROM's experimental sonic vocabulary distilled into an instrument, offering 60 hand-crafted Current presets that prioritize textural complexity and rhythmic density over conventional synthesis. The collection spans 25 bass patches, 14 leads, 9 pads, 6 keys, and 6 sound effects, each designed to integrate deep modulation and evolving character rather than static tones.
The sonic architecture emphasizes distorted, layered bass synthesis paired with intricate modulation routings that shift continuously during playback. EPROM's custom macro assignments streamline performance, allowing single-knob control over multi-stage parameter adjustments that would otherwise demand complex hands-on editing. This approach suits producers working in experimental electronic, bass music, and IDM contexts where texture and movement matter more than immediate familiarity.

What distinguishes Memory Rites is its dual format: the plugin functions as a complete standalone instrument without requiring the full Current synthesizer, while purchases include matching presets for Current itself, enabling deeper sound design for those invested in the broader ecosystem. This positions it between a sound bank and a creative tool, practical for session work yet extensible for producers seeking deeper synthesis control.
The plugin's technical foundation remains solid across VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats with native Apple silicon support. While EPROM's preset philosophy caters to specific aesthetic territory, the instrument's utility depends largely on whether your production aesthetic aligns with experimental electronic music's current direction. For those already engaged with that sound world, Memory Rites provides legitimate sonic resources; for others, its appeal remains niche.
