The core controls work intuitively. Drive governs saturation intensity, adding progressive harmonic complexity as you push the input. The Tone control is where CS1V distinguishes itself - rather than a simple EQ, it shifts preamp character across the frequency spectrum. Counter-clockwise yields darker, thicker lows with reduced upper midrange presence; clockwise brightens the high end while maintaining body.
