About this plugin
MTurboAmp represents MeldaProduction's comprehensive approach to amp modeling and distortion design, offering both preset exploration and deep circuit manipulation. The plugin bundles 30+ amp heads with a dozen distortion pedals, providing a substantial palette for guitar tone shaping across genres and contexts.
The architecture distinguishes itself through accessible yet powerful editing capabilities. Users can adjust fundamental parameters like EQ center frequencies, Q values, and gain staging across the signal chain, enabling tonal refinements beyond surface-level tweaking. The dual ten-band dynamic EQs with high-pass and low-pass filters provide surgical control at input and output stages, useful for taming unwanted frequencies or coloring the overall character.

For sound designers and adventurous producers, the amp creation tools merit serious attention. The nine-stage distortion module allows building custom saturation chains from scratch, while the custom GUI designer enables sonically functional interfaces matching either vintage aesthetics or experimental preferences. This design philosophy acknowledges that tone shaping often involves understanding circuit topology, not just turning virtual knobs.
MTurboAmp suits several user types: guitarists seeking amp flexibility without hardware constraints, producers building unique textures beyond conventional guitar tones, and engineers designing custom processing chains for bass, synths, or drums. The distortion tools prove particularly versatile for non-traditional applications.
Compared to competing amp modeling platforms, MTurboAmp leans toward customization depth over photorealistic UI design. Its strength lies not in emulation accuracy but in providing tools for creating original sonic character. The learning curve steepens when designing custom amps, though the preset collection offers immediate utility for standard applications.
