About this plugin
MStereoSpread represents MeldaProduction's answer to the persistent challenge of achieving natural stereo width without the phase complications inherent in traditional comb-filtering approaches. The plugin employs a proprietary stereo expansion algorithm that prioritizes mono compatibility while delivering the tight, present character modern mixing demands. This is particularly valuable in an era where playback across mono systems remains unpredictable.
The sonic engine centers on psychoacoustic principles designed to push elements forward in the stereo field while maintaining coherence. Unlike conventional widening tools that can introduce frequency-dependent phase relationships, MStereoSpread achieves its effect through more sophisticated means, making it suitable for critical mixing applications where transparency matters. The integrated stereo scope provides real-time feedback on your stereo image, essential information that many competing tools omit.

What distinguishes this plugin is its modulation system. Rather than offering fixed processing, each parameter responds to LFOs, envelope followers, audio-reactive analysis, or pitch detection. This capacity transforms static stereo width into a dynamic, evolving element of your mix - particularly effective on pads, strings, and atmospheric material where movement adds dimension without introducing obvious artifacts.
The software supports surround formats up to 8 channels, accommodates up to 16x oversampling for transparent processing, and includes a safety limiter. MeldaProduction's implementation is lean on CPU resources despite the feature density. For mixing engineers and producers working across multiple formats who need stereo processing that maintains integrity across systems, MStereoSpread offers a technically rigorous alternative to character-driven widening tools. It functions as a transparent utility rather than a sonic statement.
