About this plugin
Analog Empire: Plucks & Keys is a sample-based synthesizer instrument that combines deeply sampled analog hardware with intuitive layering architecture. The plugin ships with 32 professionally curated sounds spanning plucked strings, electric pianos, and percussive keys, each recorded across the full keyboard range to capture the natural tonal variations of the source instruments.
The core design centers on dual-layer blending, allowing users to combine any two sounds and manipulate them independently before mixing via a master crossfader. Each layer includes dedicated controls for pitch, analog drift, pluck articulation, tone shaping, and stereo spread. This approach moves beyond simple preset selection, enabling genuine sound design within a constrained, performance-friendly interface.

The signal path includes a multi-mode filter with standard topologies, amp envelope controls, and a comprehensive effects section covering four modulation types (tremolo, phaser, flanger, chorus), ducking reverb, and lo-fi tape emulation. The master section adds filtering, EQ, compression, maximizer, and width controls for mix integration. Full MPE support enables expressive performance on compatible controllers.
Analog Empire suits composers and producers seeking vintage character without deep synthesis knowledge. The preset collection provides immediate usability while the layering system offers depth for sound designers. Compared to full-featured synths, it sacrifices raw editing power for streamlined workflow and sonic character. The sample foundation ensures authentic analog warmth while the effects processing adds contemporary polish. It's particularly effective for organic melodic elements in electronic music, where its warm, responsive character distinguishes it from purely digital alternatives.
