About this plugin
W. A. Production's Make Me Scream 2 is a dynamic range processor engineered for aggressive parallel compression and spectral enhancement. The plugin applies multiband processing with emphasis on upper midrange and presence frequencies, creating the characteristic "screaming" effect that defines its sonic signature. Its architecture combines threshold-based compression with harmonic excitation, generating density and aggression without the artifacts associated with heavy limiting alone.
The tool functions most effectively on sources requiring prominent transient control and midrange clarity - kick drums, snare processing, and aggressive vocal chains benefit from its direct approach. The streamlined interface prioritizes immediacy over parameter depth, appealing to producers who value quick iteration over surgical precision. Its processing character sits between vintage SSL-style bus compression and modern multiband exciters, though with more aggressive tendencies than either.

Among comparable range enhancement tools, Make Me Scream 2 distinguishes itself through tonal coloration rather than transparency, making it better suited for sound design and stylistic mixing rather than source correction. It occupies a niche for electronic music production and aggressive mixing contexts where extreme processing becomes an intentional aesthetic choice rather than a corrective measure.
