About this plugin
Psy Trance 2 by Loopmasters is a psychedelic trance oriented effects plugin built on the foundation of its predecessor, refining the sonic palette for contemporary psytrance production. The plugin delivers a cohesive signal chain approach rather than presenting isolated effects, bundling modulation, filtering, and feedback components into an integrated processing environment designed specifically for the genre's aesthetic demands.
The core strength lies in its psychoacoustic modulation capabilities. The plugin excels at generating the swirling, evolving textures characteristic of psytrance through layered LFO modulation across multiple parameters simultaneously. Resonant filtering with pronounced peaks creates the familiar "spacey" quality, while internal feedback loops generate spiral-like harmonic distortions without requiring auxiliary routing. The modulation depths scale intuitively, preventing the common pitfall of over-processed harshness that plagues less carefully designed psychedelic tools.

Technically, Psy Trance 2 employs analog-modeled filtering with digital modulation sources, striking a pragmatic balance between vintage character and precise recall. CPU footprint remains reasonable even under heavy modulation, making it viable for multi-instance use during mix sessions.
The plugin suits producers working within psytrance and adjacent genres - progressive house, techno, and full-on trance all benefit from its tonal character. Experienced engineers will appreciate its restraint compared to more sensationalized psychedelic processors; this is a surgical tool rather than a novelty effect. It occupies a legitimate position within professional psychedelic production workflows, particularly for synthesizer processing and creative delays on melodic elements.
