About this plugin
KORG's software recreation of the 1995 TRINITY workstation delivers authentic emulation of the ACCESS synthesis engine that defined a generation of professional sound design. The plugin faithfully models the original hardware's dual-filter topology, four oscillator types, and eight-part multitimbral architecture, allowing users to load and manipulate the extensive PCM sample library at 48kHz that established TRINITY as a sonic benchmark in the mid-1990s.
The emulation extends beyond basic parameter mapping. KORG supervised the original hardware developers to capture subtle analog characteristics, including the D/A converter coloration that gave TRINITY its distinctive presence and clarity. The effects section includes eight insert processors and two master effect slots, reproducing the original signal chain with precision. For engineers accustomed to hardware workflows, the interface translates TRINITY's touchscreen operation into a logical software environment without sacrificing control depth.

TRINITY suits producers seeking vintage-era digital synthesis character without the hardware logistics. Its combination mode enables sophisticated layering across eight simultaneous parts, making it valuable for orchestral arrangement and complex pad synthesis. The sound character - warm, detailed, and dimensionally present - sits favorably against modern subtractive and granular tools, offering complementary tonal qualities rather than redundancy.
The plugin occupies a specific historical niche: it delivers genuine 1990s digital synthesis with professional sample quality rather than emulating analog characteristics. For those specifically seeking that era's sound or rebuilding TRINITY-dependent arrangements, the emulation's accuracy under original developer supervision provides meaningful fidelity. It functions as both archive and functional instrument.
