Syndt is a polyphonic synthesizer from Klevgrand that prioritizes morphable oscillator design and modulation depth over complexity. The engine centers on an XY pad oscillator where the horizontal axis controls pulse width (sine to narrow pulse) while the vertical axis morphs between sine and square waves. This architecture streamlines sound design compared to traditional multi-oscillator instruments, though it sacrifices harmonic richness for immediacy and intuitive control.

Two dedicated mini-LFOs modulate the oscillator's X and Y parameters independently, outputting sine waves only. A third, more sophisticated LFO adds modulation destinations including filters, gain, and pitch, with optional attack time and host synchronization in AUv3 mode. The filter section pairs highpass and lowpass filters with independent resonance controls and velocity-sensitive filter attack, providing adequate frequency shaping without the surgical precision of larger architectures.

The effects chain delivers practical utility rather than experimentation: ping pong delay with BPM sync, stereo chorus, and EQ. The ADSR envelope handles amplitude and filter articulation adequately for standard synthesis needs.
