About this plugin
Filter Table represents a fundamental departure from conventional filter design by leveraging wavetable morphing to generate dynamic, spectrally complex filtering effects. Rather than relying on fixed pole configurations, the plugin scans through user-defined wavetables, translating their harmonic content into filter responses that evolve and mutate as you move through the table.
The technical foundation is elegant: each frame in a wavetable becomes a unique filter kernel, with the cutoff frequency anchored to harmonic 24. This design enables filtering characteristics that range from surgical to utterly unrecognizable, depending on the source material. The included wavetable library covers spectral manipulation, formant textures, and experimental soundscapes specifically crafted for this application.

Sonically, Filter Table excels where conventional filters plateau. It produces the aggressive, organic bass mutations and evolving synth textures described in the product notes without resorting to layering or complex modulation chains. The four phase modes - Minimum, Linear, Original, and Raw - provide genuine workflow flexibility. Minimum phase suits tight, responsive applications, while Linear phase preserves phase coherence for parallel processing. Raw mode offers maximum character at the cost of minimal internal processing.
The integrated wavetable editor and drag-and-drop sample import mean you're not limited to the factory library. Experienced sound designers will appreciate the precise control over filtering character.
Filter Table occupies a niche alongside spectral processing tools and unconventional filters, but its wavetable approach is genuinely singular. It's essential for producers seeking filter effects that defy categorization, particularly in bass synthesis, drum processing, and experimental sound design.
