About this plugin
Wavesynth stands as Karanyi Sounds' most comprehensive synthesis engine to date, delivering a waveshaping architecture that bridges the gap between hardware classics and modern software flexibility. The instrument draws sonic DNA from 12 legendary synthesizers spanning four decades - from the Juno 106's warm analogue character through the Prophet series' formant richness to the CZ's distinctive phase distortion. Rather than emulation, Wavesynth reconstructs these voices through 14 wavetable algorithms, allowing producers to morph between fundamental character types while maintaining independent control over harmonic content.
The signal path reflects deep synthesis knowledge. Dual envelopes control both amplitude and wavetable position independently, while two LFOs provide modulation - one dedicated to wavetable morphing, the other a Prophet-type low pass filter that tracks pitch across the range. The Moog-type low pass filter provides the archetypal baseline for subtractive sculpting. With 60+ MIDI-learnable parameters, the instrument supports hardware control setups without constraint.

The effects section proves equally thoughtful: dimension adds width without phase artifacts, while tape delay and hall reverb provide spatial character grounded in analog precedent. Master-stage compression and EQ handling prevent mix imbalance across the broad sonic palette.
Wavesynth suits producers seeking synthesis depth without hardware investment. The ROLL randomizer accelerates workflow for sound designers exploring unfamiliar parameter combinations, though the interface's logical layout rewards methodical patching equally well. Against competitors like Serum or Wavetable, Wavesynth prioritizes sonic character and historical synthesis knowledge over editing granularity, making it particularly valuable for genre work demanding specific vintage weight.
