About this plugin
Vocalise 2 is Heavyocity's substantial update to their vocal-centric sound design library, offering nearly 700 Kontakt-based instruments built from newly recorded performances by professional singers. The library emphasizes tempo-synced vocal content across three primary categories: pads, phrases, and rhythmic pedals, totaling over 3GB of material optimized for immediate production use.
The sonic character leans cinematic and contemporary rather than operatic or traditional. Vocal pads provide textural foundations suitable for ambient underscore, while phrase content delivers melodic and harmonic material that can anchor compositions or serve as layering elements. The rhythmic pedal collection represents the library's most distinctive offering, providing stuttered, granulated, and rhythmically complex vocal textures that sit comfortably in modern production contexts without demanding heavy processing.

The tempo-sync implementation across all content ensures seamless integration within DAW sessions, eliminating the time-consuming manual pitch and timing adjustments that plague many vocal libraries. This workflow consideration distinguishes Vocalise 2 from static sample collections and positions it as genuinely production-ready rather than inspirational-only.
The library suits composers working in film, television, and gaming who need vocal texture without committing to traditional vocal performance. Electronic and hip-hop producers will find particular value in the pedal collection's rhythmic sophistication. The breadth of content supports experimentation while maintaining professional sonic standards throughout.
Relative to competing vocal instruments like Output's Movement or Native Instruments' offerings, Vocalise 2 occupies a middle ground between pure inspiration tools and comprehensive performance libraries, making it particularly valuable for producers seeking focused vocal texture with minimal editing friction.
