About this plugin
Heavyocity's FURY represents a significant evolution from its predecessor, expanding the distortion design paradigm into genuinely modular territory. Rather than presenting a fixed signal chain, FURY organizes its processing into three functional sections - DRIVE, DISTORTION, and TONE - each containing interchangeable modules that fundamentally alter the effect's behavior. This architecture yields over 700 viable combinations, moving beyond cosmetic variation into substantive sonic territory.
The plugin's technical approach mirrors hardware distortion design philosophy. Users can select from multiple drive topologies, choose between distinct distortion algorithms ranging from soft clipping to lo-fi degradation, and apply various tonal shaping strategies. Critically, FURY includes surgical controls often absent from distortion plugins: pre and post-distortion EQ, gate functionality, and feedback parameters that enable precise spectral manipulation rather than crude crushing.

The addition of modulation sources - LFO, envelope follower, and sequencer - distinguishes FURY from conventional distortion tools. These can automate parameters across the signal chain, introducing harmonic complexity or rhythmic movement that elevates the plugin beyond static tone shaping.
The 128 factory presets, organized by instrument and application, provide genuine starting points rather than marketing flourishes. For producers and engineers comfortable with modular thinking and seeking granular control over harmonic distortion, FURY delivers legitimate creative infrastructure. The crossgrade pricing acknowledges existing PUNISH users while positioning FURY as a substantial toolkit for those requiring distortion beyond standard plug-and-play processing.
