About this plugin
Excite Audio's Bloom Mura Masa Upgrade expands the Lite version into a comprehensive production instrument rooted in contemporary UK club culture. Built collaboratively with producer Mura Masa, the upgrade integrates archival material from his personal session files and the 2024 album "Curve 1," delivering a curated palette of gritty bass hits, textural synth work, and rhythmically complex loops that prioritize dancefloor immediacy without sacrificing emotional depth.
The plugin's architecture combines one-shots and loops into phrase-based constructs that sync intelligently with your project tempo. Four production-focused macros - Terminal, Peek, Angle, and Sides - provide direct control over tonal shaping, while three effects processors handle spatial and harmonic refinement. Sample import functionality allows customization beyond the 250 included presets, though these presets represent substantive sound design rather than cosmetic variations.

The sonic character draws explicitly from garage swing, rave-era euphoria, and hardcore energy, making it particularly suited for producers working in electronic, grime, garage, and experimental hip-hop contexts. The upgrade is essential for Lite owners seeking expanded preset libraries and advanced macro control, though existing users should verify that the additional content justifies the investment for their specific workflow.
Among contemporary club-focused instruments, Bloom Mura Masa occupies a distinctive position by prioritizing artist-curated material over generic sample packs. It functions best as a compositional accelerator for producers comfortable with loop-based construction rather than a synthesis-first design tool.
