About this plugin
Bloom KSHMR represents a focused approach to sample-based instrument design, pairing curated Indian and South Asian sounds with a streamlined production interface. Developed by Excite Audio in collaboration with producer KSHMR, the plugin centers on 250 presets built from field recordings captured across India using both analog and contemporary gear, then processed through KSHMR's production sensibilities.
The core functionality combines one-shot and loop playback with phrase sequencing, allowing users to layer tablas, sitars, bansuri flutes, and vocal elements while maintaining tempo sync. The effects chain - Lo-Fi, Tube, and Width / Space processors - provides essential shaping without overwhelming the signal path. Four macro controls tie these effects together for streamlined workflow integration.

Sonically, the library emphasizes authenticity without sacrificing clarity. Recordings capture the transient character and tonal complexity of traditional instruments, yet the mastering approach supports contemporary production contexts across electronic, hip-hop, and film scoring applications. The sample import function extends utility beyond preset boundaries, though this remains secondary to the core sound library.
Bloom KSHMR functions most effectively for producers seeking specific cultural instrumentation rather than comprehensive sampling capability. The preset quality establishes a reasonable baseline, though experienced sound designers will likely treat this as a starting point for customization. It occupies a middle ground between specialized ethnic libraries and general-purpose instruments - useful for targeted projects but not a replacement for deeper sampling tools or complete DAWs. For producers working with Indian musical elements, the sonic coherence and KSHMR's curation justify consideration despite the niche application scope.
