About this plugin
Eventide's TriceraChorus resurrects the lush modulation character of classic tri-chorus units and stomp boxes, translating the warmth of vintage Bucket Brigade Device circuitry into plugin form. The effect employs three independent voices modulated by a three-phase LFO, creating movement across the stereo field that feels organic rather than synthetic. This architecture, familiar to users of 1970s and 80s hardware like the Dyno-My-Piano, produces the kind of syrupy richness that defines the chorus sound of that era.
The plugin distinguishes itself through three distinct operating modes. Chorus mode delivers the direct stompbox character most users expect, while Chorale mode layers complexity inspired by rackmount tri-chorus units, introducing subtle harmonic interactions between the voices. Swirl mode pushes into more experimental territory, useful for psychedelic applications or sound design work. A micro-pitch detuning section further expands TriceraChorus's sonic palette, allowing opposite panning of detuned left and right signals to widen the stereo image beyond what traditional chorus alone can achieve.

The interface prioritizes real-time manipulation, with a ribbon control allowing seamless parameter sweeps and a hotswitch system for preset-to-preset jumps. Both are per-preset assignable, accommodating varied performance workflows. Parameter automation remains glitch-free even during aggressive modulation rate changes or mix sweeps.
TriceraChorus suits engineers seeking authentic vintage chorus character without the maintenance concerns of hardware units. Equally effective on keyboards, strings, vocals, and bass, it occupies valuable real estate for producers committed to analog-inspired modulation. Its three-voice architecture and dual processing approach place it among the more thoughtfully designed chorus plugins currently available.
