At its core sits a physically modeled tape loop that simulates the progressive saturation, wow and flutter, head-gap losses, and dropout artifacts that defined hardware units like the Space Echo. This foundational layer compounds with each feedback cycle, creating organic degradation rather than clinical repetition.

The plugin distinguishes itself through a convolution reverb engine offering 28 impulse responses captured from springs, plates, and halls at 96 kHz, alongside true reverse and pitch-shifted delay modes that maintain their character across feedback chains. A modulation section provides ensemble chorus, tempo-synced flanging, and variable-stage phasing, all placeable before or after the tape simulation. The soft-knee compressor with even-harmonic drive adds tonal shaping capacity, while the 4-band EQ addresses frequency-specific needs across the signal path.

The interface elegantly abstracts these 76 parameters into five macros controlled via a living X/Y pad. In performance mode, users manipulate tape speed and feedback simultaneously, creating dub-style pitch bends and self-oscillating swells. The ANI mode automates this pad across twelve tempo-locked patterns, from circles to chaotic trajectories, enabling rhythmic echo effects without hands-on control.
