About this plugin
God Mode represents a sophisticated approach to saturation and distortion that centers on selective frequency processing. At its core lies a push-pull architecture inspired by the classic Pultec EQ, the legendary passive tube design that shaped professional mixing for decades. The plugin modernizes this concept by allowing users to boost specific frequency ranges into the saturation engine, then selectively "pull back" those same frequencies to dial in the amount of coloration and maintain overall balance.
The workflow proves intuitive for experienced engineers. You identify which frequencies benefit from saturation - perhaps a presence peak in vocals or high-frequency shimmer in synths - push them harder into the distortion algorithm, then use the pull controls to sculpt the final character. A node-based EQ graph and linear phase filters provide precise frequency shaping, while a low-latency "live" mode accommodates real-time recording without phase artifacts.

Beyond the core push-pull engine, God Mode includes three distinct drive effects, one derived from the Bad Tape's Tape Analog VM algorithm, capable of ranging from transparent master-bus saturation to aggressive bass and vocal distortion. Additional features include sidechain capability for rhythmic effects and independent wet-dry panning for creative stereo manipulation.
The plugin proves equally valuable on individual tracks and buses. Mastering engineers will appreciate the subtle saturation options, while sound designers benefit from its capacity for extreme tonal manipulation. In a crowded saturation market, God Mode's frequency-selective approach and Pultec heritage offer a distinctly musical alternative to conventional distortion processors.
