Choric is a multi-voice chorus effect built on the principle that width and movement define the character of modern production. The plugin generates up to 32 independent modulation voices, each capable of independent pitch and timing variations, creating the dense, enveloping textures that distinguish character-driven music from flat digital recordings. The architecture centers on three core processors: a flexible filter section supporting low-pass, band-pass and high-pass configurations with cutoff and resonance control; a pitch-shifting engine capable of ±12 semitone transposition with formant preservation for natural vocal and instrument processing; and a modulation matrix that controls rate, depth, phase offset, and voice looseness to prevent the artificial rigidity of traditional chorus algorithms.

The signal chain includes practical refinements for stereo imaging. The Spread control distributes voices across the stereo field while Flip CH inverts modulation in the right channel, creating more convincing widening than basic LCR panning. Mid-side widening further extends spatial presence. A Warm mode introduces 3.5dB of analog saturation, while Dark mode provides high-frequency rolloff for darker applications.

Choric performs credibly across vocal, guitar, keyboard and synthesizer contexts. The 50 presets organized by instrument type suggest typical starting points without locking users into preset dependency.
