About this plugin
The +10db Bundle V2 comprises two complementary tools built around David Bendeth's approach to punchy, controlled mixing. Bendeth's production credits on albums by Breaking Benjamin, Paramore, and countless other high-impact rock and metal records attest to his distinctive sonic signature, and these plugins aim to translate his hardware-based methodology into the digital domain.
At the bundle's core is the +10db Channel Strip, a faithful model of Bendeth's personal hardware compressor unit. Rather than attempting to capture generic compression characteristics, the developers conducted deep analysis of the actual unit to preserve its particular saturation and transient behavior. This compressor forms the backbone of Bendeth's drum processing chain, delivering the percussive definition that defines his mixing aesthetic.

The +10db Equaliser V2 operates on parallel topology rather than the series architecture found in standard digital EQs. This design choice yields notable practical advantages: aggressive boost and cut values remain musically useful rather than harsh, and closely-spaced frequency bands interact in ways impossible with conventional filtering. The implementation preserves analog filter characteristics without digital pre-warping, maintaining symmetric frequency response across the audible spectrum.
The parallel approach sets this EQ apart conceptually from conventional surgical tools. It's most valuable for engineers seeking additive, colorful equalization rather than precision correction. The bundle suits mixing professionals working with rock, metal, and other styles where punchy dynamics and present midrange character are priorities. For those already familiar with Bendeth's production work, these tools offer direct access to proven mixing techniques.
