About this plugin
Tue Madsen's second Kemper signature pack distills the production expertise behind platinum metal records into 63 meticulously captured profiles. Built on Kemper's profiling technology, these captures document Madsen's complete studio signal chain, including both the amplifiers and outboard processing that defined records for Meshuggah, Behemoth, and August Burns Red. The pack prioritizes sonic diversity across the gain spectrum: extreme high-gain profiles sit alongside articulate crunch tones and genuinely usable cleans, each engineered for mix integration rather than isolated tone hunting.
What distinguishes this collection is its production-ready character. Rather than presenting raw amp captures, Madsen has included his mixing chain within each profile - compression, EQ, and dynamics processing are embedded. This approach reduces the typical workflow friction of adapting studio tones to individual sessions, though experienced users will appreciate the flexibility to bypass or modify included effects. The pack draws from recent projects spanning Swedish death metal, sludge, and progressive contexts, providing tonal reference points across multiple subgenres within extreme music.

The inclusion of both enabled and discreet effects adds explorative value; several profiles benefit from subtle spatial processing or saturation that users might otherwise overlook. Madsen's emphasis on "crunchy cleans" acknowledges a genuine gap in most high-gain packs, delivering articulate mid-gain textures suitable for rhythm work or textural layers.
For metal producers and engineers accustomed to professional studio chains, this pack functions as both tonal reference and production template. It assumes technical competency and serves practitioners seeking efficient, acoustically validated alternatives to traditional amp modelling approaches.
